Paul Jobs, the stepfather who pushed his son's business

Paul Jobs was the stepfather of the late Apple CEO Steve Jobs. He majored in mechanical engineering and lived the life of a skilled technician. Steve Jobs had the opportunity to learn about machinery and electronics through his father from a young age, and when his son mentioned building a company in their garage, he readily agreed. With his stepfather's generous support, Steve Jobs grew Apple into the world's top company. Let's take a look at Paul Jobs' approach to educating his son into a great CEO.

Paul Jobs, who taught the importance of perfection in technology

Paul Jobs received permission for adoption from Steve Jobs' biological mother under the condition that he would provide education up to college. The educational fervor of Steve's biological mother carried over to his stepfather, who believed that Steve needed to learn technology to live independently. He taught basic knowledge of machinery and electronics in their garage. Particularly when teaching his own field of mechanical engineering, he emphasized the importance of precision. He stressed that if even one small part of a machine is not perfect, the machine can break down or all parts can fail. Based on this experience, Steve Jobs became obsessed with enhancing the perfection of Apple product designs. Apple's highly polished designs successfully established themselves in the market and were loved worldwide.

Paul Jobs, who supported the start of Apple

Paul Jobs diligently taught Steve Jobs, although Steve did not excel academically. Despite modest means, Paul sent Steve to Reed College in Portland, Oregon. However, Steve dropped out after six months to travel to India, but his father respected his decision. Later, when Steve expressed his desire to start a business, he asked for his father's support. Paul willingly provided his garage, where Steve could pursue his dreams. There, Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak assembled Apple computers, working tirelessly day and night. Despite being his stepson, Paul Jobs spared no trust and support for Steve Jobs.

The icon of innovation, Apple, was initiated by Steve Jobs.
However, the person who shaped Steve Jobs was his stepfather,
who had a profound influence on his life.
Without Paul Jobs' support,
the world-changing company known as Apple would not have existed.
